I have supported both science and maths students in their studies.
I hold a first class honours degree in Chemistry with supplementary Biochemistry from Oxford, a Diploma in Mathematics and a BSc from the Open University which encompassed a broad range of pure maths, applied maths and statistics. I have also worked as a bench scientist and as a reward and benefits specialist where I have been able to apply maths to develop scientific and business models.
I have provided support to students working towards formal qualifications including common entrance exams, GCSE's and A levels (maths and chemistry) as well as teaching adult numeracy. I have also tutored for The Access Project, a charity helping students who have had less opportunities to get the grades required for top universities.
Almost everyone finds maths or science difficult at some point. Often the key is to identify the way to tackle a problem which fits with the student’s individual approach – which is where my personal tuition has its strength.
